Summer is normally a prominent time for the housing market, though many wondered if this would remain the case this year due to COVID-19. Although the housing market is certainly facing issues and uncertainties across the nation, it seems that sales are actually increasing here in Atlanta.

“During the first week of June, national housing demand was up 25% from pre-pandemic levels,” reports Julia Falcon of HousingWire “Pending home sales in the Atlanta market mirrored that trend, up 20% for the first week of June 2020 compared to June 2019, according to a new report from MarketNsight.”

Home buyers and sellers are able to overcome many of the obstacles that COVID-19 presents by connecting with others virtually. This includes virtual tours of homes, allowing potential buyers to get a clear idea of what the building entails while still practicing social distancing.
